This month marks my three year anniversary with Beautycounter. I’ll admit that at first, I was skeptical… because the journalist in me questions everything.
This company seemed too good – a certified B Corporation, which means it cares not only about profit, but about people and the planet, too. All this while donating to important charities, pioneering the clean beauty movement, and fighting for safer personal care products for everyone. Who does that?!
This full-page ad in Sunday’s New York Times says it loud and proud: “If you think we’re just selling lipstick, you’re not paying attention.”
Our mission is to make ALL beauty clean beauty. We’re working hard to change an outdated industry by taking our voices all the way to Capitol Hill; sharing how you can reduce your exposure to unnecessary harmful chemicals in your personal care products; constantly finding safer ingredients and sustainable packaging… and so much more.
This company is top-notch, the real deal. And continues to strive for better. Oh, and the lipstick… that’s pretty amazing, too. ️
