Beyond the Beauty: Let’s talk about self care. You may have noticed, I didn’t do a #MentalHealthMonday post on Instagram last week. Truth is, I didn’t have the energy to eke it out.
I’ve been utterly exhausted for the past several weeks. It takes so many moving parts to run your own business(es), and lately, everything has gotten out of whack all at once! I’ve been working endless hours trying to get things back on track. Still not quite there yet.
BUT last week, I finally took a few hours off, even though I really didn’t have the time. Self care is so important, you guys. And it’s important to do it consistently, not just when you burn out like I did.
So… listen to your body, be kind to yourself, and find that balance. Take a nap, workout, do nothing. Whatever you need.
I’m usually much better with my work/down-time balance, but as we all know, things can go off the rails sometimes. I’m working on getting my balance back to where it needs to be this week. Because self-care is non-negotiable. It’s not a luxury. It’s absolutely something we all must do for our health.
