Let’s talk about self care.
You may have noticed, I didn’t do my usual Monday post last week. Truth is, I didn’t have the energy to eke it out.
I’ve been exhausted over the past few months as my body continues to heal from my upper cervical misalignment. It’s forcing me to take time off, even as I’m still really struggling with feeling like I’m so behind on everything. BUT here’s the thing. Every time I push myself to get things done, I overdo it and I end up paying for it with days in bed.
So learn from my mistakes, you guys. 😉
Self care is so important. And it’s important to do it consistently, not just when your body is screaming at you, like I’ve been doing. You’ve got to learn to listen when it’s whispering.
Like REALLY LISTEN to your body, be kind to yourself, and find that balance. Take a nap, workout, do nothing. Whatever you need.
Because self care is non-negotiable. It’s not a luxury. It’s absolutely necessary, and something we all must do for our health.
